Dear Families,
What a fun week we have had! We got to read for 2019 seconds in the gym, have the 7th grade drama class practice their expressive reading to us, Mrs. Cardona came and read to us while I read to her class, book character dress up day, and a fun Dr. Seuss activity today with all of the third graders! It's fun to be able to do different things! I have posted several pictures of these evens on the Photo page of this website.
The Six Flags Reading log needs to be turn in this Monday, February 25th. This is the last day to return the paper to school in order for students to receive the free ticket. Next Tuesday will be our next restaurant fundraiser, at BLAZE pizza, on Drake Road/West Main from 5:30-8:30. They will donate 20% back to our school if you turn in your flyer at the time of your purchase. Flyers went home today with your child.
Next week will be pretty normal. The only change in our schedule as of now is that on Wednesday we will head to Chenery Auditorium for our KSO Youth Concert. We are eating lunch at 10:55, leaving for the concert at 11:15 and we should be back to school between 1:15 and 1:30.
Pastor's Chapel is next week! It is always one of my favorite chapels. We are asking all of the students to invite their pastors to come and worship with us and then come visit our class. If you need another copy of the invitation please let me know. We are also asking everyone to dress up in their Sunday best for that chapel. I will give children a chance to change their clothes after chapel if they need to.
The track and field dates have been set. May 22 is the day we are hoping and praying for. May 29 will be the back up rain date.
Have a great week end!
In Christ,
Jonni Hoeksema
