Dear Families,
We had such an amazing time together as an entire school system worshipping and praising God this morning! It is such a blessing to be able to celebrate the true meaning of Easter together-from the youngest student to the oldest student. We were also able to make bracelets or bead crosses together to help us as we celebrate the amazing love God showed us that first Easter and every day since!
Next week Tuesday we are going to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts as part of our Education for the Arts program. We leave school at 12:40 and return around 2:15. Please have your child wear his or her chapel shirt for the trip. It makes it easier to identify our group!
We are going to start writing some of the spelling words in cursive next week. I am always nervous to start this, but the students always amaze me! We will start with only 3 spelling words in cursive (although some have asked if they can do all of them!) and gradually add more.
We are planning our Lansing field trip for June 4. We visit and take a guided tour of the Michigan History Center. If you would like to come along please let me know! Parents are asked to drive, pay their admission ($4), and be responsible for a small group of students as we tour the center.
Have a wonderful Easter!
In Christ,
Jonni Hoeksema
